It is not difficult, as the game progresses, to ensure that the wielder's strength meets this condition (Culture Shock and Mutton Stew can give significant buffs to strength, as does a high level of the Blacksmith profession). Most of the legendaries I've found, so far, are actually the backbone of my party's offensive power.Įreshikgal's Mace- as long as your strength is higher than the target's, you do double damage and crit at the same time. Rangers are effective backstabbers and that's it.The only unique weapons that I've found underwhelming are the ones you get from special bounties. There's not enough enemies close together for more, even using Spears to herd them closer. I find 3 two handers set up for VP on hitting more than 1 target to be enough. Like all classes, there's a limit to what's useful. I've got an axe set up as a Berserker, and it's pretty good single target, but I still like the 2 hand sword more. ![]() Each to their own I guess, but I find it useful. It's got good range on the sword, and is more mobile than a tank. It will always kill one of two, and do extreme damage to another. I find the 2 hand every bit as useful as the one hand. There are no set rules any reasonable team you field will winĪnyway - I've got a 1 hand sword and a 2 hand. Just as 4 sword 1 axe 1 mace 1 ranger will easily do it too The point is 3 axe 3 hammer 2 archers 2 rangers will finish the game just as easy as any other combo It's a bit extreme to take "well try 15 archers" from that Two handed is pointless, if you are going to use sword use one handed What's wrong with 2 handed sword? Does good damage with good range, and as long as you hit 2 or more, it's VP neutral for 2 attacks. I hate to get Bleeding or Poisoned for example, so use 4 Spears in my 15. That might vary a bit depending on playstyle. I'm sure you can get through with a far from optimal squad, but it's far better to have a mix that works well. An Engaged Archer is useless - get Run, but then where's you're VP coming from. I will say tho, when a mission says easy and then you see 16+ units that’s real baitġ5 Rangers, or 15 Archers? Give it a go, and record it for us. Bless my pigs being fodder for a turn or two. Good chunk of battles is more tedious then hard except champions, just got the splitter… lv 5 max party vs lv 10 guy with 1.5k total life points (hp+armor). There's no one set way to play and other than two handed sword you'll win easily with any team make up you fancy trying ![]() ![]() When I started I heard all sorts of "advice" and how things had to be, and six weeks laterĩ0% of what I was told turned out to be false The game is so easy even on so called hard mode that I can't see it makes any difference what you use for now Wasn't any harder or easier than previous games with swords The only unfortunate thing about them is that there are 2 rangers and only one legendary dagger and you'd still need 2 archers, one axe and one spear to use all the legendaries alone, notwithstanding the fact that not having a sword and shield is seriously hampering your team's damage potential if all you're doing is getting capped legendaries and companionsĭoes a lack of sword really matter? Just completed all content with no swords, got all legendary at 11 etc It's late game stuff that puts you in a great position for the future updates. Originally posted by BedlamBetty:Enemies do scale from him, but level cap is still 11 at the moment, which you hit with one out of every ten fighting units being at least level 10 (while all others are level 9) anyway. In a normal game I wait till my main party is around level 5-6 then go recruit all 5 of them to fill my team outīe warned though don't go see them or interact with them till you're ready to recruit them as that seems to lock the level and they'll stop scaling anymore So I would guess you can get the deserter at 11 too somehow I've only got them at level 10 but someone has the inquisitor at level 11 The other two, the brute deserter you mention and the inquisitor in ludern jail work a little different and are normally 2-3 levels higher than you can recruit in taverns. How? Bug? What are the cons of him taking her in right now? Was looking into the game and doesn’t the enemies scale (higher lv) then your highest lv companion?ģ of them will match the highest level unit (human)you have up to level 9, and then can be gained at level 11 if you start adding enough level 11 captured animals Originally posted by Killer29687:Watching a friend play every once n awhile and he discovered something interesting, max level of his part is 4’s and right south of cortia is a bandit party, go talk to them and you can recruit a brute… for him she was level 6….
